Terms of Use
Effective and last updated October 21, 2026
These Terms of Use (the "Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Pieceful ("Pieceful," "we," "us" or "our") about your use of the Pieceful iPhone app, its related web pages and our support channels (together, the "Service"). Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information and is part of these Terms.
1. Who can use Pieceful
You must be 16 or older and in the United States to use the Service. If you are under 18, you need a parent's or guardian's permission to use Pieceful, and they agree to these Terms on your behalf. You may hold one account, and you must not use the Service if we have previously suspended or removed your account, or if you are barred from using it under applicable law.
2. Your account
You sign in with your Apple Account. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your device and Apple Account secure. Tell us promptly at piecefulai@gmail.com if you believe your account has been used without your permission. Because we do not receive your email address from Apple, we will send account notices in the app, or to an email address you have given us.
3. What the Service does, and its limits
- Designs are suggestions. Pieceful uses software and artificial intelligence to suggest real products from third-party stores and to show them in pictures of your room. Designs are for inspiration and planning only. They are not professional interior design, architectural, engineering or safety advice.
- Size and fit. Designs made from a regular photo are estimated and are labeled "not to scale." Designs made from a LiDAR scan, or verified with a tape measure, place furniture using measurements, but scans and product dimensions can be wrong. Always measure your space, doorways and stairs, and check each product's dimensions on the store's page, before you buy.
- AI-generated pictures. Pictures are created by AI and may not match the real product, its color, material, finish or scale, or your room exactly. A piece marked "Similar look" is drawn from the store's description rather than a photo of the actual product.
- Product information. Product names, prices, availability and details come from stores and other third-party sources, can change at any time, and may be inaccurate or out of date. The store's page shows the current price, availability, taxes, shipping and return terms.
- Changes to the Service. We may add, change or remove features, stores or products at any time.
4. Subscription, billing and cancellation
- Subscription required. Designing rooms requires a paid subscription bought through Apple's App Store. There is no free tier and no free trial. The price, billing period and what is included are shown in the app before you subscribe.
- Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically each month at the then-current price until you cancel. Apple charges your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase and at each renewal, within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
- How to cancel. To avoid the next charge, cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time in your iPhone's Settings, under your Apple Account, Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting the app or your Pieceful account does not cancel your subscription.
- Price changes. If the price changes, Apple will notify you in advance and, where Apple's rules or the law require, ask for your consent before charging the new price.
- Refunds. Payments are processed by Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Except as required by law or Apple's policies, payments are non-refundable and partial periods are not refunded.
- What your plan includes. Each subscription period includes up to 20 designs, within a per-period computing budget for your account. The app shows how many designs you have left, and tells you if you reach a limit. Allowances reset when each renewal is paid and do not carry over.
5. Buying furniture from stores
Pieceful does not sell furniture. When you tap a product, you leave the Service and buy from that store on its own website, under its own terms and privacy policy. Each store, not Pieceful, is responsible for its products, prices, orders, payment, delivery, returns, warranties and customer service. Product names and trademarks belong to their owners, and their appearance in the Service does not mean those owners endorse Pieceful. Pieceful may earn a commission when you buy through its links, at no extra cost to you. We choose products for your design based on your request and do not rank products by commission.
6. Your content
- You keep ownership. Your photos, scans and requests ("Your Content") remain yours.
- Permission you give us. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process, transmit and display Your Content, including through our service providers such as our AI provider, only as needed to provide and secure the Service for you and as described in our Privacy Policy. This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except for copies we must keep by law or that remain for a limited time in backups.
- Your promises. You confirm that you have the right to upload Your Content and to let us use it as described, including the permission of anyone who can be identified in it, and that it does not violate any law or anyone's rights. Only photograph spaces you are permitted to photograph.
- Your designs. As between you and us, you may use the designs and pictures the Service makes for you for your personal, non-commercial purposes. Because they are generated by AI and show third-party products, we cannot promise that they are unique or that others have no rights in them.
- Feedback. If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) use the Service for anything unlawful, harmful or fraudulent; (b) upload content you do not have the right to use, or content that is unlawful, sexually explicit, or that invades anyone's privacy; (c) try to get around plan limits, payment, or security measures, including by creating multiple accounts; (d) access or try to access other people's accounts or data; (e) copy, scrape, resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the Service or its content; (f) reverse engineer or interfere with the Service, or place an unreasonable load on it; (g) use automated means to access the Service except as we allow; or (h) use the Service to build a competing product. We may suspend or end access for anyone who does.
8. Our rights in the Service
The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics and the Pieceful name and logo, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by law. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store's usage rules, for your personal, non-commercial use. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
9. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time in the app's settings. We may suspend or terminate your access, with notice where reasonable, if you breach these Terms, if we must do so by law, or if we stop offering the Service. If we stop offering the Service for reasons other than your breach, we will help you request a refund from Apple for any prepaid, unused subscription period. Sections 4 (Refunds), 5, 6 (Your designs and Feedback), 10 through 15, 17 and 18 survive termination.
10. Disclaimers
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE, INCLUDING ALL DESIGNS, PICTURES, MEASUREMENTS AND PRODUCT INFORMATION, IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT ANY PRODUCT WILL FIT YOUR SPACE, MATCH ITS PICTURE, SUIT YOUR NEEDS OR BE AVAILABLE, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE OR ERROR-FREE. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CHECKING MEASUREMENTS AND PRODUCT DETAILS BEFORE YOU BUY.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PIECEFUL WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL OR PROPERTY, OR FOR ANY PURCHASE YOU MAKE FROM A STORE (INCLUDING PRODUCTS THAT DO NOT FIT OR DIFFER FROM THEIR PICTURES), ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF THOSE DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS ($50).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages, so some of sections 10 and 11 may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for gross negligence, fraud or willful misconduct.
12. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Pieceful from any third-party claims, losses and reasonable costs, including attorneys' fees, arising from Your Content or your breach of these Terms.
13. Dispute resolution and arbitration
Informal resolution first. Before filing a claim, you and we agree to try to resolve any dispute informally. Send a written description of the dispute and the relief you want to piecefulai@gmail.com, or we will send one to you in the app or to an email address you have given us. If the dispute is not resolved within 60 days, either party may start arbitration. Statutes of limitation are tolled during this 60-day period.
Binding individual arbitration. Except as stated below, any dispute, claim or controversy arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, before a single arbitrator. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section. The arbitrator may award the same individual relief a court could. Fees are paid as the AAA's consumer rules provide. Arbitration may be held by video, by phone, on written submissions, or in the county where you live.
Exceptions. Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court, and either party may seek an injunction in court to stop infringement or misuse of intellectual property. Claims for public injunctive relief will be decided by a court after any individual arbitration, and are stayed until then.
Mass filings. If 25 or more similar demands are filed against Pieceful with the help of the same or coordinated counsel, the AAA's Mass Arbitration Supplementary Rules apply.
CLASS ACTION AND JURY TRIAL WAIVER: YOU AND PIECEFUL EACH AGREE TO BRING CLAIMS ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY CLASS, COLLECTIVE OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING, AND, FOR ANY CLAIM RESOLVED IN ARBITRATION, EACH WAIVES THE RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL.
Opting out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing piecefulai@gmail.com within 30 days after you first accept these Terms, with the subject "Arbitration opt-out" and enough information to identify your account, such as a screenshot of the app's settings. If you opt out, this section 13, including the class action and jury trial waiver, does not apply to you. Opting out does not affect the rest of these Terms.
If the class action waiver is found unenforceable for a claim, that claim must be heard in court, not in arbitration. If any other part of this section is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
14. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict of law rules, except that the Federal Arbitration Act governs section 13. For any dispute heard in court, you and we agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts in Pierce County, Washington, except where the law of the state where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.
15. Apple-specific terms
If you downloaded the app from Apple's App Store, you and we acknowledge that:
- These Terms are between you and Pieceful only, not Apple, and Pieceful, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content.
- Your license to use the app is limited to use on Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that the app may be accessed by other accounts associated with you through Family Sharing or volume purchasing where Apple allows.
- Pieceful, not Apple, is responsible for any maintenance and support of the app. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support services.
- If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the app, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app, and any other claims, losses or costs from a failure to conform to a warranty are Pieceful's responsibility to the extent not disclaimed in these Terms.
- Pieceful, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the app or your use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to any legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
- If a third party claims that the app or your use of it infringes its intellectual property rights, Pieceful, not Apple, is responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement and discharge of that claim.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must comply with any applicable third-party terms when using the app.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and once you accept them, Apple has the right to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
Questions, complaints and claims about the app: Pieceful, piecefulai@gmail.com.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will change the date at the top and, for material changes, tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms. Changes do not apply to disputes already pending when they take effect.
17. General
These Terms, with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service and replace any earlier agreements on that subject. If any provision is found unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the rest will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of our business. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control. We may send you notices by email or in the app, and you agree to receive communications from us electronically. Headings are for convenience only.
